Shealife was born from memory, heritage, and a longing to create something deeply meaningful. Some of my earliest memories are of my siblings and me spending our school breaks at our late grandmother Elizabeth Majoe Squire`s home — lovingly known as “mummy” at Calaba Town— and of the way she cared for us with raw shea butter. For her, shea butter was never simply a beauty product. It was part of everyday life! She used it on us when we were sick, on dry lips and aching bodies, and even in cooking. It carried warmth, comfort, and care. To me, the scent of raw shea butter still feels like home. Even as life changed and I moved between different worlds, I always carried the dream of one day creating something connected to those traditions and that feeling of care. At its heart, Shealife is about more than skincare.
